According to 2015 statistics from the Brewers Association, 75% of adults in the United States live within 10 miles of a brewery. I would guess that number is even higher in 2017. I, however, am in the minority. In fact, just about anyone living in Missouri City and large parts of Sugar Land are probably

Richmond’s Texian Brewing is undergoing a major transition. Texian has sold the brewing equipment to startup brewery Fulbrook Ale Works. Fulbrook will also be taking over the lease of the current Texian building. Texian owner Josh Haley said, “it was time to renew the lease on our building and we worked through multiple scenarios to

This weekend might be one of the busiest of the year with the rodeo, Saint Patrick’s Day, and March Madness. The main attraction on Saturday, March 18th, is on the Eastside, where 8th Wonder Brewery will be holding their annual brewed-up music festival for their 4th anniversary. We chatted with 8th Wonder president and co-founder

Out of all the local brewery responses to the “Who Will Be Houston’s Trillium or Tree House?“ essay, there was one that carried an unexpected air of intrigue, given that it stemmed from a producer that hasn’t even opened yet. Amid the thread of a Facebook post about the article, one commenter innocuously announced the

Like many of us, John & Kathryn Holler moved to Houston to work, and, like many us, they found an unexpected home here; they could not think of a single place they’d rather open a brewery. In the four years after moving to Houston from Tampa, Florida in 2009, they grew attached to the city

October 8 marked Brash Brewing’s First Anniversary Party. The epic party seemed to have brought out every beer and metal nerd from across the city to Brashland bright and early Saturday afternoon. And rightly so, with exclusive merch teasers and exciting guest taps posted on social media since the tickets went on sale in early

Ken Bridge has a passion for craft beer, as is clear in the focus on great brews at so of many of his restaurants in the Delicious Concepts group — Pinks Pizza, Shepherd Park Draught House and the recently opened Ritual on the corner of White Oak and Studewood in Woodland Heights. The plans for the space now

Stop me if you’ve heard this one: local brewery set to open doors in renovated food service warehouse. The team at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. has been hard at work for 18 months transforming a 20,000 square-foot warehouse into the stuff of dreams. Casey Motes, formerly a brewer at Saint Arnold, Robert Eichenlaub, Joel Swift,

There’s still plenty of summer sun to soak up and Houston’s newest brewery–a phrase becoming more and more common around here–Under the Radar, is looking to help you do just that at their grand opening August 27th, in Midtown. What started as a trio of homebrewing buddies getting together to hone their craft and share

On Thursday night I attended a preview of the much anticipated City Acre Brewing Co., a brewpub located about 10 minutes north of downtown off U.S. 59 at 3418 Topping Street. Originally slated to open four years ago, but delayed due to complex city regulations and beer laws, City Acre will hold its long-awaited grand opening on July
I wasn't aware they had signed with a distributor, and I'm not aware of any Houston area beer distributors going under. It's possible that they signed with a wine distributor (since they own a winery as well), but it's also possible that Running Walker decided to stop self-distributing their beer to that Total Wine. Where to find it kind of depends what part of town your in. I'd check local grocery stores, Spec's, and any bottle shops you may have in your area.
