We are excited to welcome you to the 2nd annual Houston Beer Block Party. This year, this festival is proudly hosted with our friends at Spindletap Brewery. This event will take place from 3-8pm CST with the brewery taproom staying open till 10pm.
About: This is NOT your typical beer festival. This community-focused event will feature the best of Houston Beer, with reps from local craft breweries all across the city. Attendees can expect a tailgate style beer festival, numerous craft novelty vendors and delicious bites from local food vendors. Stop standing in line for beer and pull up a chair to get acquainted with your favorite breweries in this laid-back way to celebrate Houston beer. Live music entertainment and raffle prizes will be given away every hour during the event. This year, the Houston Beer Block Party will feature 12 breweries, several local beer centric vendors, live musicians, caricature artist, hilarious Brewer’s Beer Olympics Mini Games, and other fun attractions.
Parking: We strongly recommend Uber, Lyft or carpooling for ticket holders for parking reasons. If you can’t Uber, please drink responsibly or use a designated driver. This is a 21+ focused event – please bring a valid identification card. There are two main parking areas on property, as well as street parking along Hirsch Road.
Charity Fundraiser:
We are so very GRATEFUL for this beer community. As we come together to celebrate our love for #HoustonBeer we must also remember that those who work tirelessly behind the scenes may be facing their own battles. The craft beer industry can be demanding and fast-paced, putting a strain on the mental well-being of brewers, bar staff, and everyone involved. 
We are excited to announce our charity fundraiser happening through Aug 19th benefitting Southern Smoke. The Southern Smoke Foundation supports members of the food and beverage industry in crisis nationwide through emergency relief funding and providing accessible, no-cost mental health services through its mental health program, Behind You. 
This initiative is so important to us that we decided to make it extra special by offering a unique gift to anyone that donates. 
Donate $20 or more to this cause using the link below and we will hook you up with this awesome unique event poster designed by award winning beer artist Chris Hernandez as a special thank you! A portion of the ticket sales from the block party will additionally be donated. Posters will be available for pick up during the block party at SpindleTap Brewery starting Aug 19 through the end of the month. These collectable posters will be numbered and signed by the artist. Poster quantities will be limited, one poster per person.

Attendees who donate the suggested $25 or more monetary donation to the Southern Smoke Foundation fundraiser will receive digitally crafted event poster—while supplies last. Posters will be signed and number by local beer artist, Chris Hernandez. Limit 1 poster per person. Posters will be available in-person at Spindletap Brewery the day of the event only. Setup your block: Arrive early and setup your 10×10 pop up for the day on Spindletap’s 2-acre beer playground and outdoor space. Space City BBQ and Crunchies for the Munchies will be onsite with BBQ and tacos all day! We encourage you to take your time to enjoy the festivities, enjoy beer tasting samples from each brewery and network among the community.
Tickets: General Admission to the block party includes beer samples from all featured breweries, a commemorative Houston Beer Guide taster glass and a beer token for a pint of Spindletap beer. VIP Admission ticket holders will also have early access to the event through our indoor seated VIP Tasting Experience and Behind the Beers discussion panel with brewers and brewery owners before the beer festival starts. VIP ticket holders will enjoy the full perks of the event with meal ticket, reserved seating indoor and a small token of appreciation from the contributors of Houston Beer Guide.
VIP access starts at 3pm & General admission entry starts at 4pm.
Didn’t score a ticket in time? Don’t worry – you will still be able to enjoy the event space, live music and vendor market. Tickets are required to access featured brewery beer tastings.
